Start a Tax-Deductible Fundraising Campaign

When you run a campaign through NBF, donations are made to Arizona Boosters Foundation, Inc. — a verified 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 39-3080525, of which National Boosters Foundation is a program — not to your program directly. Receipts are issued in that name. As the sponsoring nonprofit, the foundation retains legal discretion and control over donated funds, which is an IRS requirement for tax-deductible charitable giving. In practice, the foundation directs disbursements to your program in support of your charitable sports activity. Donations cannot be legally earmarked for a single named individual and remain tax-deductible. Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law, and the deductible amount may be reduced by the value of goods, services, advertising, or other benefits received. If your program discontinues before disbursement, NBF will apply the funds to a similar charitable sports purpose. NBF’s administrative fee is 5% of all donations received — your program receives 95 cents of every dollar. This fee applies only to tax-deductible donation campaigns; product fundraisers (Ripped Jerky, Gold Card) carry no NBF fee.
